A business finance consultant by day and a children’s author by night, Angelina Natale, of Sky View Farm Adventures in New Hampshire, is coming onto the scene with three new books for young horse enthusiasts.

Promoting Positive Change: Ebony Horsewomen, Inc.

For nearly 40 years, Patricia Kelly and her team at Ebony Horsewomen, Inc. (EHI) have navigated a new frontier and brought equine-assisted therapy to the urban areas of Hartford, CT. Since 1984, they have served the youth, families, adults, and military veterans in their community through equine-assisted psychotherapy, therapeutic riding, and a variety of youth programs. Kelly, the Founder, President, and CEO of EHI understood early on in her life that there was a connection between horses and humans, and strove to find a way to support those around her by utilizing that strong connection.

Amazing Grace Animal Sanctuary

Tucked away in Sullivan, NH is a treasured place for humans and animals to come together and find love and compassion. Amazing Grace Animal Sanctuary is home to over 40 rescued farm animals, with everything from horses and pigs to alpacas and chickens calling the farm their home. Additionally, people from all walks of life throughout the community are encouraged to come and experience the magic of sharing their lives with animals.

Freedom Reins Therapeutic Riding Center

With a lifelong passion for horses and a background in assisting children in the community, Denise Dragon, of Surry, NH, has been drawn to the benefits of therapeutic horseback riding for many years. While she has volunteered for a multitude of programs over the years, she recently took action against the lack of therapeutic riding programs in the local community, developing one of her own. Opening Freedom Reins Therapeutic Riding Center in April, Denise has already had a strong impact on the community, filling their first session with 16 participants in three days. The program encourages participants to begin riding with them as early as four-years-old and continues on through adult therapeutic programs.

Southern Vermont Therapeutic Riding Center

Combining a love of horses with a passion for helping people live their best lives, the Southern Vermont Therapeutic Riding Center (SVTRC) in Wilmington, VT, has been providing Equine Assisted Therapy Services within our region for the past decade. Liz Deluca of DeLuca Equine, LLC, in Galway, NY, focuses on hearing what horses are trying to tell us so that she can begin to have conversations. Beginning in the hunter/jumper world, Liz was drawn to natural horsemanship early on and now aims to make it accessible to everyone, helping them to build strong relationships with their horses.

For over 20 years, Dressage4Kids has been inspiring young equestrians to develop their horsemanship skills and encouraging them to expand their skills in the saddle. Since 1999 and the inaugural Youth Dressage Festival, Dressage4Kids has expanded tremendously to offer educational and competitive opportunities for youth riders and the adults who support them.
