O3 Animal Health Equine Omega Complete Review

I recently adopted a new rescue horse, a sweet Standardbred mare named Kia. Working with the rescue, it was clear that Kia still needed to gain some weight, so I began looking for weight gain supplements at The Cheshire Horse. After reading the ingredient lists and the numerous product recommendations, I chose to try the O3 Animal Health Equine Omega Complete. They also have an O3 Equine Mega Gain, but I felt that Kia would benefit from the additional Vitamin E that the Complete contains.

This complete essential fatty acid supplement supports various facets of your horse’s health and well-being.

The ingredients were the first feature that caught my attention. The oil is manufactured with only human-grade ingredients, so I could feel confident about the overall quality. It is formulated with wild-caught fish oil, mechanically expelled (as opposed to chemically extracted) organic soybean oil, and all-natural vitamin E. Additionally, the ratio of essential fatty acids (EFA’s) is exceptional. A diet that is too high in omega 6 fatty acids in comparison to omega 3 fatty acids can increase inflammation in the body; the O3 Animal Health Equine Omega Complete provides an optimal ratio for your horses to thrive.

When Kia came home in early May, I immediately began using the O3 Animal Health Equine Omega Complete as part of her daily rations. In the beginning, she did not like the oil on her grain, so I added a few peppermints to entice her to eat. Once she ate it with peppermint candies for a few days, she began to gobble up her grain, even after I removed the candies. Kia steadily gained weight and now looks like a whole new horse!

I also began feeding it to my two geldings, Allegro and Stormy. They found the oil to be palatable from the very first feeding. I found their transformation to be incredible, in fact, maybe even better than Kia’s. They have blossomed! Their coats are so shiny that sometimes they appear wet in the sunlight.  Not only are they shiny, but their color has also intensified since using this product.

I recently went back and purchased another bottle of this amazing oil. If fed at the recommended dosage, each bottle should last a horse one month. The oil lasted me a bit longer because I slowly integrated it into their feeding regimes.

I would highly recommend O3 Animal Health Equine Omega Complete if you want to condition your horse for shows or sale. I found the end result of feeding this supplement to be a shiny, gorgeous, well-conditioned, happy horse.
